Last Summer, from August to October, Charlies @charlies_cycling_challenge set up to cycle 4000 kilometres across the USA.
He was wild-camping where possible and/or staying with those who offer accommodation along the way.
Charlie is a Secondary History teacher at Claires Court School in Maidenhead and therefore focused the fundraising initiative around the support of young people, both locally and in the Ukraine. The athlete will donate half of the money for @ukrainecharityorg!
“We have all been shocked by the events taking place in the Ukraine and the scars will remain long after.
Last 8 weeks I have been cycling across the USA for Ukraine Charity,” he said.
Charlie has set a target for £4000. £1 for every kilometre cycled. But, as we can see, today 4,700 pounds have already been collected. Now the challenge is complete! 4386km from Charleston, SC to San Diego, CA. £2230.54 has been raised for Ukraine Charity!
