Ukraine Charity Supports NGO YES

During the period from March 12 to April 14, 2023, NGO YES carried out a vital project titled ‘Meeting the winterization needs of IDP children from the frontline (Zaporizhzhia region).’ The project aimed to provide seasonal footwear for children from internally displaced families who required support.

Beneficiaries were selected through a comprehensive survey conducted in the Telegram group of NGO YES, where over 3400 applications were received. Based on careful assessment and evaluation, financial assistance of UAH 1200 per child was provided to 181 children from IDP families residing in Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding region.

The recipients of this assistance included:

• 109 children from IDP families actively engaged in extracurricular activities, encompassing sports, art/creativity, and volunteering.
• 35 children from IDP families whose housing had been destroyed, substantiated by relevant documents.
• 52 children from IDP families with parents facing serious illnesses.
• 4 children from the Stepnogirsk community (frontline).
• 4 children from the Komyshuvaska community (frontline).

The dedicated budget allocated for this project amounted to £4393. And we were able to meet the winterization needs of these deserving children, ensuring their comfort and well-being during challenging times.
